What happens at the Holly Unit
During your stay with us we will work with you and your family/carers to find ways to best help you.
Most young people stay on the unit for a night or two, but you can also just come to the unit for the day or even for a few hours. This will be agreed with you before your visit.
When you are at the Holly Unit you can spend time with the nurses who will get to know you better and help you:
- learn how to stay calm.
- have a better bedtime routine and a good night sleep.
- have fun playing with other children.
- make better choices with foods and snacks.
- look after yourself including brushing your teeth, getting wash and dressed.
You will come to Holly Unit on agreed days and times and if you go to school you may come straight from school in a taxi or with you family/carer.
Medicines
Whilst you are at Holly the nurses will give you medicines that you need to keep you well.
